DREAM CATCHER SERIES

I cannot stress enough how much I'm dying to write this series. Until the Intertwined series is finished, though, I have no choice but to throw it a bone here and there whenever the characters become restless and demand five minutes of my attention.

 Currently, pieces and ideas of this story can be found on all three of my devices: my computer, laptop, and iPad. Oh yeah, and inside my desk drawer on post it notes and torn notebook paper.

 I can't wait to bring these pieces together and share the first chapter with you! Until then, I shall strive to be patient.

Hello, all! It's August! I thought now might be a good time to give an update on how Raveled, the last installment in the Intertwined Series, is coming along, sooooo ... without further ado, I have good news and bad news. The good news is I'm loving the second draft so far! It's exciting and intense and much better than the first draft, I can promise you that. The bad news is I won't be able to release the final draft by fall of this year, or even this year at all. It seems I vastly underestimated just how big of a beast this story really is, and being that it's the final book in the series, I can't bring myself to publish it until I'm absolutely one hundred percent happy with it.  There's a lot to wrap up and a lot to bring together, and, honestly, this book is really two stories in one, not just because of how long it is, but because, for those of you who've read the first two books, Intertwined and Tethered, you know exactly what I mean w

Ebook Cover: Stock Images vs. Custom Illustration

I'm so excited to finally share the book cover for Intertwined! Three and a half months ago, this was little more than a vague idea inside my mind. I was debating on whether to use stock images (a more affordable option) or to have the cover custom illustrated. I was torn because, although, stock images can be modified to fit the tone of your book, I couldn't stand the idea that it could end up on someone else's cover--especially, if the cover happened to portray two people who represent your lead characters. In fact, this ALMOST happened! I was browsing for stock images on Shutterstock and found one that resembled the two main characters in my story. In the end, I decided not to use it because I prefer to leave the characters to the readers imagination, and I've always been drawn to simpler, more symbolic covers like Twlight, Divergent, Hunger Games...etc. A couple months later, I saw the exact same stock image used on two other book covers.
